The large variety of birds in Riverview Park will be the focus of a bird identification program Monday, Sept. 16.
Participants should meet at 8 a.m. at the Mark Twain Statue. Binoculars would be helpful. The program is free and sponsored by Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department.
Krista Noel, a Missouri Department of Conservation natural history biologist, will lead the program. She named several birds participants would likely see and hear. Reservations are encouraged by calling the Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department at 221-0154 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
