  • Keith Ivan “Drivin’ Ivan” Wiley, 79, of Hannibal, Mo., formerly of Palmyra and Philadelphia, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
    Keith was born May 1, 1934, in Henry County, Ill., the son of Julius Caesar and Lucille Garnet Wiley. Keith was married to Ronnie Carlene Meyers Dec. 17, 1954 in Hannibal, Mo.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ronnie Carlene Wiley; son, Galan (Penny) Wiley of New London; daughters: Rhonda G. Byers of Quincy; April L. Barr of Quincy; eight granddaughters and one grandson, Kari Wiley; Emily Wiley; Danielle Byers; Lauren ( Craig) Cashman; Whitney ( Neal) Woollard;   Ryan ( Sarah) Byers; Kelsey Barr and fiance Brett Schafer; Kayley ( Josh) Bailey; and Kensey Barr; eight siblings, and many other loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
    Mr. Wiley has been a faithful employee of Lomax Trucking for more than 50 years.
    Keith loved the Lord Jesus and was an active and devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Palmyra. He served as a church deacon and was also on the board of trustees for many years. He enjoyed traveling, especially in the western states, being outdoors and hunting rocks, attending auctions on the weekends, and loved spending time with his family. He devoted his time to helping with several church groups such as the Royal Rangers and also worked with the Boy Scouts of America when his son was younger.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Palmyra. Rev. Terry M. Buster and Rev. Josh Bailey will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, Mo. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to Maple Lawn Nursing Home Auxiliary.
