The Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce has announced plans for its inaugural Poker Run and Steak Fry, to be held Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013.
Participants will have the opportunity to cruise through Northeast Missouri and stop at businesses in Monroe City, Paris, Shelbina, Bethel, Palmyra and Hannibal. Registration will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Poage Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, 900 Clinic Road, Hannibal. The event will wrap up with a steak fry for participants and members of Chambers of Commerce in the area, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Nipper Park on Hannibal’s riverfront.
Motorcycles and automobiles of all types are welcome to participate in the Poker Run. Registration is $20/poker hand and additional cards and hands may be purchased at the conclusion of the route in Nipper Park. Prizes will be awarded for the top three poker hands. Additional contests and games, including a wild card search, will take place during the event.
The Area Wide Chamber of Commerce Steak Fry, a tradition since 1986, will bring together Poker Run participants and members of the Hannibal, Palmyra, Monroe City, Mark Twain Lake, and surrounding Chambers of Commerce.
