  • Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol has announced the results of a sobriety checkpoint conducted by Troop B officers during the month of August.
    On Aug. 17, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint on U.S. 24 in West Quincy. As a result of the checkpoint, which began at midnight on Aug. 17 and concluded at 4 a.m. on Aug. 18, officers checked 202 vehicles, made 12 arrests, and issued five citations.  
    Following is a list of enforcement contacts during the checkpoint: Four arrests for driving while intoxicated; two arrests for misdemeanor drug violations; four arrests for misdemeanor warrants; one arrest for a misdemeanor criminal violation; one arrest for a felony drug violation; three citations issued for non-moving violations; two citations issued for driver’s license violations.
