According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 1:40 p.m. at the Spalding Landing boat ramp off of Route J.
A 2007 GMC 1500 was being backed up by 65-year-old Robert J. Baze of Colona, Ill., when it struck 75-year-old Robert L. Lonstad of Colona, Ill., who was walking past the trailer.
Lonstad was taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
