Albert L. Clark, 95, of Deming, NM, formerly of Hannibal, MO, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at his home.
Graveside services with full military honors provided by the Emmett J. Sheilds Post 55 American Legion will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Grand View Burial Park, the Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. There will be no visitation. Smith Funeral Home & Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Albert was born December 12, 1917, in Mexico, MO, the son of Fred Albert and Josie V. O’Brien Clark. He graduated from Hannibal High School in the class of 1935. Albert, a World War II Veteran, served in the US Navy from 1935-1956. He retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer.
Survivors include one daughter, Joan Clark Hysler and husband Dan of Springfield, IL; one sister, Bessie Blackler and husband Curtis of Hannibal, MO; two grandchildren, Kristopher Queen and wife Heather of Naperville, IL, and Alissa Queen of Quincy, IL; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Anna Hanan; and one brother, Fred Clark, Jr.
Albert was a Christian by faith. He was a member of the Masons. Albert enjoyed traveling around United States in his RV.
