  • Braden Schlueter of Hannibal captured Intermediate first place in 2-year-old fillies at the 2013 Built Ford Tough American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Championship Show on Aug. 3 in Oklahoma City.
Schlueter showed the American Quarter Horse Sweetheartz owned by Sherri Lakenburger of Highland, Ill. The 2011 chestnut mare, sired by JMK Supernatural and out of Kitty Lite, was bred by James Melvin Kifer of Hartselle, Ala.
The Intermediate awards program is designed to recognize exhibitors who have never placed in the top 10 at an AQHA world show in the particular class in which they are competing. Intermediate classes run as classes within classes, not separate ones.
