Helena K. Hallowell, 70, of Burlington, Iowa, suffered moderate injuries in a car-pedestrian accident at 12:28 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, in Center, Mo.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, she was taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
The accident was at 101 East Highway 19 at the Pick-A-Dilly Convenience store in Center.
Officers said Lloyd L. Elzea, 79, of Center, was driving a 2002 Buick LaSabre and backing from a parking space. He backed into and knocked down Hallowell, and she was injured in the fall. Elzea was not injured.
