Although several other makes were in the Marion County Fair car show on Saturday, July 27, Ford Mustangs took the top awards in the Ford division and People's Choice division.
Mark Dodd's 2013 Mustang won the People's Choice award.
The judges selected a 1969 blue Mustang GT owned by Joe and Kelly Conway as the Best Ford. The Conways also won the Longest Distance Award.
Jim Russell's 1958 Chevrolet Impala won Best GM car.
In the Non Ford or GM division, Michael Haydon's Dodge Challenger was named winner.
The winners were announced by Michele Hopson, co-chairperson with her husband, Randy, of the Marion County Fair, where the car show was a new event this year. She listed the top 10 car show winners.
They were Ron Jackson's 1939 Packard Coupe, Dale Jones' 1936 Chrysler Airstream, Alvin Adams' 1934 Ford Roadster, Nolan Leach's 1941 Ford Coupe, Ken Crawford's 1950 Ford F150, Mike Casey's 1969 Chevelle, David and Carla Selsor's 1964 Chevy C-10, Larry Utterback's 2003 Corvette, Boyd Barrett's 1970 Chevelle, and Larry and Karen Hughes' 1948 Plymouth Coupe.
