  • Sandy K. Douglas, 64, of Hannibal, Mo., died at 3:26 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
    A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal, Mo. Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.  Father Mike Quinn will officiate.
    Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, Mo.
    Sandy was born on August 30, 1948, in Hannibal, Mo., to Lewis and Mary Hustava Epperson.
    She was married on July 17, 1971, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ilasco, Mo., to Gary E. Douglas. He survives.
    Other survivors include two sons, Darin Douglas (Nikki) of New London, Mo., and Chad Douglas (Erica) of Quincy, Ill.; five grandchildren, Briar, Braysen, Brody, Noah, and Claire; two sisters, Sharon Arthaud (the late Larry Arthaud) and Kathy McMakin (Jim); and several nieces and nephews.
    Sandy was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; and an infant sister, Mary Ellen Epperson.
    Sandy was a retail grocery clerk for many years at the National Food Store in Hannibal, Mo. Most recently she had worked with the Hannibal School District in the Food Service Department. Sandy loved her grandchildren deeply and loved to spend time with them and other family members. She also enjoyed golfing, fishing, taking family trips and just riding around. Sandy was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and previously was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ilasco, Mo.
    Pallbearers will be Kent Arthaud, Brent Arthaud, David Arthaud, Stephanie Ross, Neil McMakin, Emily Edgington, Tracy Friday and Chris Rice.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Sandy’s many friends.
    Memorials may be made to the James E. Cary Cancer Center, in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home of Hannibal, Mo.
