  • Beginning Sunday night, July 28, through Thursday morning, Aug. 1, Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be working on traffic signals upgrades and relocating intersection lighting on U.S. 61 in Hannibal at the intersections of Stardust and Pirate Pride Drive, and Route MM and James Road.
    The work will be conducted at night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. with one-lane traffic at various intervals and locations throughout the intersections each night.
    Beginning Sunday night into Monday morning, crews will be working on the west side of U.S. 61 at Stardust Drive relocation street lighting with traffic reduced to one lane. Due to the tight confines on the side streets and to ensure the safety of work crews, it is necessary to close Stardust near U. S. Bank for approximately two hours beginning at midnight Sunday to work on the overhead traffic signals. On Monday night into Tuesday morning, crews will be working on the east side of U.S. 61 at Pirate Pride Drive relocating street lighting. At midnight Monday, Pirate Pride Drive will be closed for approximately two hours to work on the overhead traffic signals.
    On Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, crews will be working on the east side of U.S. 61 at James Road near Cassano’s installing street lighting and working on the overhead traffic signals. Wednesday night into Thursday morning, crews will be working on the west side of U.S. 61 on Route MM. Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 16-foot restriction through the work zone area.
