  • Marjorie Ann Shelley, 87, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 3:33 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Mike Alberts will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services Friday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Mrs. Shelley was born March 14, 1926, in Hannibal, Mo., to James and Helen Davidson Thompson.
    She was married to John C. Shelley on September 26, 1946, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death January 13, 1997.
    Survivors include one daughter, Janet Kay Morton of Hannibal, Mo.; one sister, Maryetta Kramer of Hannibal, Mo.; one daughter-in-law; Deirdre J. Shelley of Hannibal, Mo.; five grandchildren, Tyson Shelley (Juli), Shelley Morton (Mike Arnett), Hayes Shelley (Tracy), Jon Morton and Blake Morton; and nine great-grandchildren, Madalynn Newsome, Austin Shelley, Kennedy Shelley, Sydney Shelley, Brody Shelley, Callee Arnett, Justin Morton, Chandler Arnett and Debbie Arnett.
    She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Shelley; three brothers and one sister.
    Mrs. Shelley worked as a bookkeeper for over 30 years at Citizen’s Discount. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards, reading and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mrs. Shelley was an active member of Arch United Methodist Church and liked attending church events.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Arch United Methodist Youth Group, in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers will be Tyson Shelley, Hayes Shelley, Mike Arnett and Denny Harrison.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Shelley’s great-grandchildren; and Julie Bush.
