The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake invites the public to “Smores for Lifejackets” night at the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center on Saturday, July 27.
Those coming to the visitor center between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. wearing a life jacket will be assisted in making a smore.
Those with extra life jackets are asked to donate them for use at Life Jacket Loaner Stations located at boat ramps and beaches around the lake.
Donations of products and funds that will make the event possible have been given by Hickman’s IGA and Cannon Dam General Store both of Perry as well as the Mark Twain Lake Visitors and Educational Resource Center Committee.
