Betty Lou Leffert, 81, of Hannibal, died at 4 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Luther Manor in Hannibal.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Mrs. Leffert was born on September 10, 1931, in Hannibal, the daughter of Clayton George and Vina Mae Lowe Majors. She married Charles Leffert on May 20, 1951, and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2001.
Her parents; a sister, Doris Johnston; four brothers, James Majors, Gary Majors, Carl Majors and Richard Majors also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Gayle Harsell of Lakeland FL; three sisters, Marilyn Lain of Hannibal, Florrine Boston of Hannibal and Glenna Pickett of Mulberry, FL; five brothers, Virgil Majors of Hannibal, Chris Majors of Hannibal, Bill Majors of Ozark, MO, Reginald Majors of Fort Royal, VA and Roger Majors of Hannibal; three grandchildren, Angie (Scott) Zimmerman, Todd (Robin) Harsell and Melinda (Kevin) McMahon and ten great grandchildren.
Betty was a member of the Clover Road Christian Church, a seamstress and artist for many years. She was loved for her smile and her devotion to God.
Clover Road Christian Church was chosen by the family for memorials.
