The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program at Douglass Community Services recently honored Hirmaline Whitney of Hannibal for volunteering over 30 years with the organization.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program at Douglass Community Services recently honored Hirmaline Whitney of Hannibal for volunteering over 30 years with the organization.
During her time as a volunteer, Whitney has served Douglass Community Services, Hannibal Nutrition Center, Willow Care, and Beth Haven. Last year, she made over 200 hand-stitched Easter baskets for Head Start children.
In the course of 30 years of being a RSVP volunteer, Whiney has logged 7,100 hours.
She was inducted into the RSVP Hall of Fame in 2008.
