  • Hannibal’s Convention & Visitors Bureau is taking part in a new online eLearningU professional development program being rolled out by the Missouri Division of Tourism. Gail Bryant, Hannibal CVB director, says this free resource provided by the Missouri Division of Tourism is “extremely valuable.”
The courses are online through eLearningU and provide ongoing professional education to tourism professionals. All courses are tourism-focused and are delivered by industry experts on an array of topics of interest to tourism professionals - Internet and social media marketing, branding, customer service, packaging and more.
According to Bryant, Megan Rapp, the HCVB’s assistant director, has already completed a course on Facebook engagement for tourism.
The Convention & Visitors Bureau will also be sending out information about the online courses to Hannibal Tourism-related businesses in the hope they will take advantage of this free opportunity because it “allows small business the chance to get great information at no cost and with no travel time and related expense.”
