  • Hannibal-LaGrange University has issued a reminder to the community that the new Roland Library is open to the public. Though summer is here and operating hours have changed, the same services are still available.
HLGU’s Roland library is the newest building on campus. Dedicated in April 2012 this exceptional addition to the campus is the heart of the academic life at Hannibal-LaGrange University. Named after the late Dr. E. Earl Roland, a 1941 graduate and long-time supporter of the University, this 20,000 square foot library is completely handicapped-accessible and contains a multimedia-equipped computer classroom, computer lab, private and group study rooms, audio and video editing stations, children’s reading area, added space for expanded print and audiovisual collections, as well as wireless Internet.
Visitors are welcome to read, study, or check out one of the Kindle e-readers available at the front desk. Community Borrower cards are also available for $27.50 per year to check out books or access the computers and wireless network.
Summer library hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. The library is closed on Sunday.
For information, contact Roland Library at (573) 629-3132 or via e-mail at library@hlg.edu .
