A Palmyra Family Fun day is scheduled Saturday, July 6, at Flower City Park.
A Palmyra Family Fun day is scheduled Saturday, July 6, at Flower City Park. It will include fireworks, food, crafts, a flea market, games, activities, music, a petting zoo, a look at National Guard vehicles and a mechanical bull.
A volleyball tournament is planned, at $75 per team. The winning team will receive a pool party for 25 people.
The schedule lists a pet contest at 10 a.m., hula hoop contest at 10:30 a.m., decorated bicycle contest at 11 a.m., storytelling by W.T. Johnson at 1 p.m., Halls Hall Jammers from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., watermelon contest at 3 p.m., family triathlon at 4 p.m., and youth firearms safety, 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
A talent show (not a contest) will be from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Participants need to arrive 30 minutes earlier.
At 7 p.m. Jared Keim will perform, and at 8:30 p.m. the VFW and American Legion will present a Color Guard. All military veterans are invited. They will be honored on the Women’s Ball Field.
The fireworks display will begin at dark, sponsored by the Palmyra Chamber of Commerce.
