Estella Lynn Wood, 64, of Hannibal, Missouri, formerly of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away at 6:35 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Willow Care Center, Hannibal.
She was born June 13, 1949, in Hannibal, the daughter of Lawerence L. and Lois R. Couch Wood. She was a lifelong member of the Monroe City Christian Church. She attended Monroe City High School.
Lynn was a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was also a member of the “People First.” She enjoyed reading cookbooks and writing recipes. Lynn enjoyed visiting with all law enforcement agencies, most of all the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Survivors include one sister, Zoe Wood Linza and husband Dan, Kirkwood, Missouri; one nephew, Joshua Lyle and wife Kristen, Columbia, Missouri; one niece, Hilary Spurgeon and husband John, Lincoln, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Garner Funeral Chapel, Monroe City, Missouri. Rev. Steve Goughnour will officiate. Burial will be at the Andrew Chapel Cemetery, Marion County, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Lyle, John Spurgeon, Tom Thurman, Brad Thurman, Jack Jones and Wayne Carroll.
Memorials have been suggested to the Monroe City Shelter Workshop or the Missouri Association of State Troopers Emergency Relief Society.
