Less than two hours after an armed robbery was reported at Pick-A-Dilly Quik Stop at 3531 Market St. in Hannibal, Mo., Hannibal police arrested a man believed to be the suspect.
The following report was received from Police Chief Lyndell R. Davis. Officers with the Hannibal Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at 3:43 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Pick-A-Dilly Quik Stop at 3531 Market Street.
The caller reported that a black male came into the store and demanded money and fled on foot.According to reports, the suspect displayed a handgun during the incident. The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured during the incident. However, an employee at the business was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital by ambulance afterward for stress-related medical issues.
At 5:23 p.m. officers arrested a subject believed to be the suspect involved in the incident at a residence on Center Street.
