  • The Hannibal Fire Department was called to 1243 Church St. at approximately 12:53 p.m. Sunday, June 16, where a fire was reported in a two-story wood frame home occupied by Krigina Abbey.

  • The Hannibal Fire Department was called to 1243 Church St. at approximately 12:53 p.m. Sunday, June 16, where a fire was reported in a two-story wood frame home occupied by Krigina Abbey. The property is owned by Triple R Plus LLC, according to the fire department.
    The fire department provided the following details. All three fire stations responded to the fire, taking eight firefighters. Upon arrival, fire crews experienced heavy fire and smoke coming from building.
    The incident commander was notified by the occupant that all residents were out of the structure.
    Fire crews conducted a search of the residence and made an offensive interior fire attack. They had the fire under control within 15 minutes.
    The fire chief and three additional firefighters also were called, giving the fire crew 12 personnel. Fire crews were on scene approximately three hours conducting fire overhaul and investigation.
    Fire investigators with the Hannibal Fire Department and the Missouri State Fire Marshall’s office conducted a fire investigation. The fire was being listed accidental on Sunday.
    The Hannibal Fire Department was assisted the Hannibal Police Department, Marion County Ambulance District, Hannibal Building Inspectors office, Hannibal Board of Public Works, Missouri State Fire Marshall’s office and The American Red Cross.
