  • Jerry Dale Wisdom, 62, of Hannibal, Mo., died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

  • Jerry Dale Wisdom, 62, of Hannibal, Mo., died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the First Christian Church in Hannibal, Mo. Rev. Tom Day and Rev. Steve Barker will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, Mo.
    Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, Mo.
    Mr. Wisdom was born on April 13, 1951, in Hannibal, Mo., to Treffie and Lenora Bouse Wisdom.
    He was married to Debbie Flowers on May 29, 1999, in Hannibal, Mo. She survives.
    Other survivors include: one daughter, Denyse Wisdom Hathaway (Reggie) of Columbia, Mo.; one son, Mitchell Wisdom of the home; his beloved puppy, Dale; brothers, Junior Wisdom (Shirley), Robert Wisdom (Stephanie), Dennis Wisdom, Danny Wisdom (Lisa), Bill Wisdom, and Clyde Wisdom; sisters Ruth Gibbons (J.A.), Janet Shockley (Jimmy), Vicki McReynolds (Randy), Robin Wisdom, Debbie Golian (John), Esther Wampler, Faye Chandler, Dorothy Turner, Helen Otte, Shirley Wisdom, and Connie Utterback; grandson, Brett Hathaway ; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
    Mr. Wisdom was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Brenda Allen; two brothers, Mike Wisdom and Bob Wisdom; and one grandson, Austin Wisdom.
    Mr. Wisdom worked as a utility operator for 40 years at General Mills in Hannibal, Mo. He still had his first car, that he dearly loved, a '55 Chevy that he restored with his son Mitchell. Jerry enjoyed is job at General Mills and liked to follow St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. Most of all Jerry loved his family and spending time with his kids, grandson, and brothers and sisters. He was a member of Oakwood Christian Church.
    Pallbearers will be Norman Stewart, Ron Caldwell, Earl Rodgers, Mike Wisdom, Matt Wisdom and Shawn Norfolk.
    Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
