  • The seventh season of Music Under the Stars, the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum-sponsored free summer concert series, kicks off on Thursday, May 30, with local band Steppin’ Back.
Steppin’ Back will perform rock tunes from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s for its sixth consecutive year at Music Under the Stars. Members of the band are Jim Phillips, Greg Asmussen, Gentry Youse, Paul Lewellen, and Chloe-Anderson Lovelace.
Steppin’ Back formed in 2007, and many of the band members have played in other local bands as far back as the -60s. The band performs around the area, including benefits and fund-raisers.
The performance begins at 7 p.m. in front of the Boyhood Home. In case of rain, the concert will be relocated to the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum Gallery, 120 North Main St. Lawn chairs are encouraged.
