Luther N. Truber, 102, of Hannibal, Mo., died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Gary Legg will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Truber was born October 23, 1910, in Novinger, Missouri, to Julius and Lora Stanley Truber.
He was married to Oleta King on November 10, 1931, in Hannibal, Mo. She preceded him in death December 28, 1989.
Survivors include one son, Norman Truber (Marilyn) of Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren, Debbie Holt (George) of Knoxville, Tenn., and Paul Truber (Shelly) of O’Fallon, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Natalie Truber, Katie Truber, Amy Reynolds (Travis) and Dana Schaffer (Justin); and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Mr. Truber worked as a custodian at Hannibal High School and also at Heiberger’s Market for many years. He enjoyed gardening and visiting with his friends. Mr. Truber attended Apostolic Holiness Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Holiness Church, in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Ellis, Donald Martin, Sonny Wade, Ken Sharp, Michael Niffen and Tim Fuqua.
