Two people were injured in a two-vehicle mishap Monday afternoon in Pike County, Mo.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the crash happened at 4:20 p.m. on U.S. 61 at County Road 308.
A 2005 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Charles L. Cox, 82, of Bowling Green was eastbound on County Road 308 and reportedly pulled into the path of a 2010 Ford Taurus, operated by 77-year-old Marie F. Leverenz of Bowling Green, who was southbound on U.S. 61.
Both Cox and Leverenz, who were wearing safety devices, suffered moderate injuries. Leverenz was taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. Cox was flown to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
