Chris Chinn, a farmer and rancher in Clarence, was recently selected as one of the winners of USFRA’s Faces of Farming & Ranching program. One of the program awards was a $5,000 charitable contribution to a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in Chinn’s name. Chinn decided to donate the charitable contribution to the South Shelby FFA Chapter in Shelbina.
Chinn and three other program winners were selected from more than 100 farmer and rancher applicants from across the country.
Chris and her husband, Kevin, are 5th generation farmers - farming with his parents and brother. They raise hogs, cattle, hay and row crops. It is a 1,500 sow farrow-to-finish farm and it has a 60-head cow-calf operation as well.
