Fifteen students were presented with awards at the closing reception and awards of the Hannibal Arts Council’s Young Masters exhibit. Young Masters featured selected works by fifth- and eighth-grade students in Hannibal’s public and parochial schools as well as students participating in Hannibal High School art department art classes. The exhibit was sponsored by the Hannibal Arts Council and the George H. Riedel Private Foundation.
The winners were presented award pieces and $25 in Chamber Bucks. In addition, their works will be showcased in a week-long exhibit in the lobby of F&M Bank at 505 Broadway. The works may be viewed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10.
Chosen to be a part of the F&M Bank exhibit were: Antonio Davis (Eugene Field), Gillian Hark (Holy Family), Davion Green (Mark Twain), Molly Broughton (Oakwood), Jessica Voepel (Stowell), Heather Boggs (Veterans), Toby Tobias and Avery Sanders (HMS eighth grade), Peyton Marshall and Jordon Held (Holy Family eighth grade), and Emily Seppelt, Erin Coulter, Spencer Goewey, Abbey Jefferies, Alyssa Riefesel (Hannibal High School).
