James (J.C.) Weyand of Hannibal took the oath of admission to the Missouri Bar and was granted his license to practice law, Friday, April 26.
Weyand was sworn in by the Supreme Court of Missouri in Jefferson City. The oath was administered by Chief Justice Richard B. Teitelman. Upon presentment of his license, Weyand signed The Roll of Attorneys, a book containing the names of all attorneys enrolled by the Supreme Court of Missouri.
Weyand attended Law School at Southern Illinois University. While attending law school, he completed a judicial externship with the Judge John J. Jackson in the Marion County 10th Circuit Court. James and his wife, Mariah, have done Youth Ministry at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Hannibal for nine years.
Weyand will practice law at Curl, Hark & Holliday, LLC in Hannibal. He hopes to establish a practice in Estate Planning and Personal Injury.
