A chess tournament will be held on Saturday, May 18, at the Hannibal Free Public Library, 200 S. 5th Street, Hannibal.
A chess tournament will be held on Saturday, May 18, at the Hannibal Free Public Library, 200 S. 5th Street, Hannibal.
There is no entry fee. A trophy will be awarded to the winner. Participants can register by calling the library at (573) 221-0222, or register on the day of the tournament before
1:30 p.m. at the library.
The first round will be at 2 p.m. Each player will play at least three games. The tournament will end by 5:15 p.m., or when all games are completed. If there is a tie for the championship, one or two extra games may be played.

The Hannibal Library Chess Club meets from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the library. Chess players of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
