Students age 15-18 are invited to two-day camp called “Explore Nursing,” on June 11 and 12, hosted by Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing (BRCN). There is no cost for those selected to attend.
Explore Nursing includes a “nurse shadow experience” working side-by-side with Blessing Hospital nurses, and a visit to the BRCN Simulation Center for hands-on experience with computerized patient mannequins. Students accepted to Explore Nursing will spend the night of June 11 in Quincy University’s dormitories, chaperoned by nursing faculty. Students will be served dinner on June 11 and breakfast on June 12 as part of the program.
Each participant will be awarded a $500 scholarship to BRCN. Awarding of the scholarship does not automatically guarantee admission to BRCN. Students must meet all admissions requirements at the time of applying to BRCN.
Upon being selected to attend the Explore Nursing two-day camp, the student will receive a packet of information that will require guardian signature and approval as well as what to pack for the stay and additional details.
Students must apply to attend by visiting www.BeANurse.net, or calling 1-800-877-9140, ext. 6949.
