The Marion County Emergency Services Board of Directors are accepting applications for a Western District board member. The selected candidate will serve the unexpired term of an incumbent elected board member who recently moved out of Marion County. The unexpired term will end in April, 2015.
Board members oversee the executive director of Marion County 911 and ensure the responsible use of 911 funds to provide effective and efficient 911 and emergency communications services in Marion County.
The person appointed must reside in the Western District of Marion County, be able to attend monthly board meetings, and meet all other requirements of elected officials. Anyone interested in serving may submit a letter of interest with a resume before May 31 to: MCES, 3246 Highway 61, Hannibal, MO 63401.
All Marion County Emergency Service Board members volunteer their time and service to the district without compensation. The current 911 Board members are: Chairman Albert D. Durand and Vice-Chairman Gary Crane, both of Palmyra, Dorothea F. Lake of Maywood and Secretary Darrell McCoy, Treasurer Richard Cerretti and Michael Dobson, of Hannibal.
