The public is invited to a day of shooting and food at the Ka-Tonka Game Preserve from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, with an open shoot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. New London Park Days.Org is hosting a clay shoot fund-raiser to help raise funds to bring New London Park Days back this summer.
Pre-registration is $30 (plus ammo) while entry is $35 on the day of the event. Each registered competitor will receive a gift bag that includes a souvenir a T-shirt, Poage Chevy Buick hat, and items from Smoke E. Bones jerky company, the Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri Department of Transportation, McDonald’s, Ralls County Mutual Insurance, and a VIP shooter credential with a lanyard.
Guaranteed cash prizes will be awarded to the highest and lowest scorers in five classes. Prizes include $100 cash for the top scorers, and $30 cash for the lowest scorers in each class. Depending on the number of entrants, the cash awards could increase.
A silent auction will be held which includes items from Selby Implement, Norwoods Golf Course, Salt River Outpost, Barnes Taxidermy, Rustic Oak, The Junction, Fiddlestix, Rumor Has It Bar & Grill, Mama Mias, Logues Restaurant, Rustic Oak, The Junction, Fiddlestix, Rumor Has It, Mama Mias, Ka-Tonka Game Preserve & Shooting Clays, The Hobby Hut, Patriot Firearms Training, Rubas Grocery Store, and Kevin Sauls 66 Station.
The New London Fire Department will be serving barbecue beef and pork burgers, and seasoned brats from 4 Quarters Processing of Perry.
Portions of all proceeds will also benefit the Ralls County 4-H.
Ka-Tonka Game Preserve is located at 57290 Cumberland Trail, New London.
