The Marion County Ambulance District recently added a training director to its administrative staff. According to John Nemes, chief/director of the district, George R. Miller of Columbia has been appointed as the director of their training department.
Miller, NREMT-P, will be providing daily training for district personnel, as well as training for other emergency responders and community outreach programs. He has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and over 37 years’ experience in the EMS field. He has instructed emergency medicine for over 22 years including both EMT and Paramedic classes, American Heart Association courses, and other basic/advanced medical programs. He has also served on numerous national and state boards where he assisted in developing programs and seeking advancements in emergency medical care.
