Rebecca Kirk wasn't expected back in court until June, but a new motion has her returning April 9.
Kirk, who is charged with two counts of evidence tampering in the Calvin Duane Pettey murder case, is on the morning docket for what is being called a criminal motion hearing.
Her attorney, John Morthland of Hannibal, said Kirk intends to appoint one of the Pike County Associate Circuit judges over the newly elected Circuit Court Judge Chris Kunza Mennemeyer.
Morthland did not specify which judge Kirk will pick.
According to the state's Web site, there are three judges at the associate circuit court level in the 45th judicial circuit which includes Pike and Lincoln counties. They are judge David Ash — who Kirk originally faced in Pike County — and judges James Beck and T. Bennett Burkemper, Jr.
The hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Pike County Courthouse in Bowling Green.
