A Bowling Green woman sustained moderate injuries Tuesday morning in a one-vehicle accident in Pike County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the crash happened at 8:28 a.m. on Missouri 79 0.5 of a mile north of Route YY.
A 2002 Ford Explorer was being driven north by 28-year-old Tanya M. Mannahan of Bowling Green. The mishap reportedly happened when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. When Mannahan over-corrected the Explorer went off the left side. After Mannahan again over-corrected the vehicle went back off the right side of the road where it struck an embankment and overturned onto the road.
Mannahan, who was not wearing a safety device, was taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
