  • Virginia Maxine Bell Mahsman, 91, of Silver Spring, Maryland, formerly of Hannibal, MO, died at 3:25 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring,
    Maryland.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Jeff Anderson from Calvary Baptist will officiate. Burial will
    follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal.
    Mrs. Mahsman was born on September 26, 1921, in Hannibal, the daughter of Peter M. and Thelma F. Simms Peer. She married John T. Bell, Earl Heuser and Alvin Mahsman, and all
    preceded her in death.
    Her parents, a brother, John H. Peer, and a sister, Thelma F. Brinkmeyer, preceded her in death.
    She is survived by three daughters; Sandra Pang of Silver Spring, Maryland; Judith (William) Wells of Hannibal, MO; and Mary (John) Franz of New York; one brother, Cecil David Peer
    of Hannibal, MO; three step-children: Reverend David Mahsman, Susan (Bill) Lukasik and Kenneth Mahsman; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
    Virginia was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge College of Regents, the American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign
    Wars and a member of the RSVP organization.
    Virginia will be greatly missed by family and friends.
