Corey S. Gresham of Macon, and a businessman in Shelbina, was killed Wednesday in a multi-vehicle crash in Greene County, in southwest Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened at 9:03 a.m. on U.S. 60 in Republic.
Three vehicles, including the 2011 Nissan Altima that the 41-year-old Gresham was driving, were stopped in the right lane at a traffic light. A 2006 Freightliner tractor-trailer, operated by Lei Sun, 31, of Alhambra, Calif., struck the rear of a 2011 Chevrolet pickup driven by 65-year-old Lawrence M. Coan of Kimberling City, causing it to hit the Altima, which was pushed into a 2006 Volvo tractor trailer driven by 58-year-old Edward R. Holland of Aurora.
In addition to Gresham, who was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash, Coan was also killed.
Sun was arrested by the highway patrol and charged with two counts of second degree manslaughter. He was taken to the Greene County Jail.
