A vehicle is being blamed for a power outage that darkened an area in the central of part of Hannibal on Tuesday night.

A vehicle is being blamed for a power outage that darkened an area in the central of part of Hannibal on Tuesday night.
Reportedly around 10:30 p.m. a vehicle struck a guy wire attached to a power pole, which caused a line fuse to blow. The outage impacted approximately 100 Board of Public Works customers on Spruce and Chesnut.
Service was restored in 40 minutes.
