  • Marilyn Ann Oppy, 77, of St. Louis, Missouri and formerly of Hannibal, MO, died at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond Heights, Missouri.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.  Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Mrs. Oppy was born December 6, 1935, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Earl Joseph and Mary  Forshey Scheiner.
    She was married to Duard Leslie Oppy on September 26, 1953, at the First United Methodist Church in Hannibal, MO.  He preceded her in death January 8, 2001.
    Survivors include 4 sons: David Oppy (Ruth) of St. Louis, MO; Devin Oppy of Florida; Daron Oppy (Ali) of New Zealand; Dustin Oppy of St. Louis, MO; 1 brother, Bill Scheiner (Doris) of Perry, MO; 7 grandchildren: Christopher Oppy, Michael Oppy, Dawn Budenholzer (Mark), Kraig Oppy, Daron Oppy II, Dennis Oppy, Duard Wesley Oppy; 3 great-grandchildren: Corey, Caden and Layven and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
    She is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, Wanda Jean Scheiner.
    Mrs. Oppy was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards and dancing with her husband. Mrs. Oppy was a talented artist and sales person for Tri Chem Painting Co.  She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Afton, MO.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Junior Diabetes Research Foundation in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
