Crash injures Louisiana man

A Louisiana man was left with minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident Monday in Pike County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 7 a.m. on U.S. 54 at Peacock Lane.

The collision reportedly happened when a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 27-year-old Matthew L. White of Louisiana, failed to yield to a 1999 Plymouth Voyager, operated by 31-year-old Kimberly J. Harrison of Louisiana. The van struck the car head-on.

White, who was wearing a safety device, was taken by ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital.
