Michael Lawzano, 76, of New London, died at 2:35 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Dr. Bill Maupin will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Mr. Lawzano was born on June 13, 1936, in Hannibal, the son of Frank and Isabell Wint Lawzano. He married Glenna Stewart who preceded him in death in September 1998.
His parents; three sisters, Carmella Huntzinger, Frances (Cookie) Lawzano and Betty Kasmark; two brothers, Francis (Super) Lawzano and Thomas Lawzano also preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelly (Charlie) Gaddis of Hannibal and Theresa (Gary) Hathaway of Monroe City; one son, Michael (Karen) Lawzano of New London; one brother, John (Anne Marie) Lawzano of Wilkes Barre, PA; six grandchildren: Joshua (Meghan) Hathaway, Kristen Hobson, Justin (Crystal) Lawzano, Ryan (Jenny) Lawzano, Lindsey (Fred) Caldwell and Brock Hobson; two step-grandchildren: Amanda Nelson and Reggie Hathaway; and a very special friend Jerri White.
Mr. Lawzano served as a city alderman and Mayor Pro Tem in New London for several years.
Michael loved bowling and was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of New London and the Emmette J. Shields American Legion.
