Programs on timber and food preservation are planned next week.

Jim Meyer from the UMC Extension in Bowling Green will be the presenter for a program on food preservation. This program will be at 7 p.m. Monday, March 25, in the Monroe City Middle School cafeteria.
A power point presentation on freezing, drying and canning is planned. Participants are also asked to bring the lid from their pressure cookers to be tested to make sure the gauges are accurate.
At 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, in the Monroe City Agriculture Education building there will be a program on selling timber, timber stand improvement and other forestry topics. Kyle Monroe with the Missouri Department of Conservation will be the presenter.
