Doris C. Hedrick nee Davidson, 91, of Hannibal, Mo., died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church in Hannibal. Pastor Stephen D. Adkison will officiate.
Private family interment will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. The James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Mrs. Hedrick was born February 2, 1922, in Hannibal, Mo., to Earl Albert and Eva Sydney Herring Davidson.
Survivors include her children, David (Barbara) Hedrick of St. Peters, Mo., Robert (Debbie) Hedrick of Grain Valley, Mo., Gary (Sherri Couch) Hedrick of Hannibal, Mo., Bruce (Tammie) Hedrick of Rowlette, Texas, Dorothy (Jack) Engle of Kansas City, Mo., and Julie (Ed) Cain of The Colony, Texas; her son-in-law, Mickey Mitchell of Rowlette, Texas; her 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Nancy Mitchell; and her three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Hedrick worked for several years as a bookkeeper for Citizens Discount and Investment Corporation, and later as an office worker at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, both in Hannibal. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hannibal and participated in the church handbell choir. She served with the Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed artistic painting and traveling.
Memorial contributions may be made to The First Presbyterian Church andor Beth Haven, in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Hedrick’s grandsons, Robert Hedrick, Bret Cordry, Gabriel Cordry, Jacob Hedrick, Conner Hedrick, and David Hedrick.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Engle, Ed Cain and Mickey Mitchell.
