Charles E. Daly, 89, of Canton, Missouri, and formerly of Palmyra, MO, died at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton, MO.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.  Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial with Full Military Honors by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at Salem Cemetery in rural Center, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. Friday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Daly was born May 19, 1923, in Yellville, Arkansas, to Arch Dean and Mary Alma Wenger Daly.
He was first married to Ellen Irene Curtis and she preceded him in death in 1978. He then married Burtha Bredlove and she also preceded him in death. He later married Alice Pauline Phelps on September 9, 1984 in Hannibal, MO. She preceded him in death May 22, 1996.
Survivors include 3 children: Dorothy Daly of Florida, Doris Franzen (Roger) of LaGrange, MO, David Daly of Fulton, MO; 1 brother, Frank Daly; 1 sister, Pauline Goodwin; 9 grandchildren: Bobby Joe, Shawn, Colby, Velvet Rose, Makalyn, Samantha Jo, Travis Lester, Tiffany Lyn, David Allen; 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by 2 sisters: Juanita Harris, Jessie Goodwin; and a third sister, and 1 grandchild, Elvis.
Mr. Daly was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Daly retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation. He liked hunting, fishing, gardening and enjoyed yard work. Charles loved being outdoors. He was a Baptist by faith.
