According to the Hannibal Police Department an officer contacted the driver of a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Mark Twain Avenue for improper vehicle registration. The officer also discovered the driver, Michael A. Robinson of Hannibal, did not have a valid operator’s license. When Robinson reportedly refused to co-operate with the officer he was placed under arrest.
During a search of Robinson, the officer allegedly located a syringe and small baggy of what is believed to be methamphetamine. According to police, a search of the vehicle turned up more substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana. Also reportedly located were several items of paraphernalia and items commonly used in the distribution of illegal narcotics.
On Tuesday, March 5, a warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court charging Robinson with the Class B Felony of Distribution or Attempt to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $100,000 cash only. At last report Robinson remained in the Marion County Jail.
