A job fair will be held on Thursday, March 7, at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center at 639 York. All persons seeking employment are urged to attend, and there will be a special session for older workers. Any employers who have not yet registered to participate are welcome to sign up. The job fair is entirely free, with no charge for either job seekers or employers.
The day begins with an employer panel especially for older workers at 9 a.m. Local employer representatives will discuss applications and the job-seeking process. This free session promises to provide excellent support to senior individuals seeking employment.
The job fair then kicks off at 10 a.m., with senior workers as the priority until 11 a.m., and continuing for both senior workers and job seekers of all ages from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The job fair is co-sponsored by the West Central Area Agency on Aging, Experience Works, Inc., and the Workforce Investment Board of Western Illinois.
Any employer who would like to be part of the job fair or would like information is urged to call Laura Megown at the Area Agency on Aging at (217) 223-5700 or email email@example.com to register.
