  • Charles E. Huston, Sr., 78, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial with Full Military Honors by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    He was married to Harriett Shuck and she preceded him in death. He was previously married to Nonna Steffey and she survives. Charles was with his companion of over 26 years, Jana Holcomb, and she also preceded him in death.
    Mr. Huston, Sr. was born November 1, 1934, in Hannibal, Missouri to Lloyd and Ellen  Brown Huston.
    Survivors include 4 children: Chuck Huston Jr. (Sharon) of Hannibal, MO;  Dee Ann Holloman of New Albany, IN; Darin Huston of Hannibal, MO; Densie Madore of Hannibal, MO; 1 sister: Martha Lou Sargent of Lake Ozark, MO; 6 grandchildren: Cory Huston, Jalen and Brook McCoy, Michael Huston, Taylor Sanders and Madison Madore, and several nieces and nephews.
    He is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Bill Huston and Robert “Bo” Huston; and his good friend, Ferdie Williams.
    Mr. Huston was a United States Army Veteran. He worked for Ayers Oil Company as a store manager for many years. Mr. Huston enjoyed walking at the armory with his friends and loved spending time with his family and grand kids. He was a Christian by faith.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers will be Chuck Huston, Jr., Darin Huston, Cory Huston, Michael Huston, Russell Flick, and Greg Fowler.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Fish, Sara Flick, Taylor Sanders, Jalen McCoy, Brook McCoy and Kevin Fowler.
