David A. Van Hoose, 55, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 4:38 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Vandalia Cemetery in Vandalia, Missouri. Pastor Gregg Koelliker will officiate.  
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home. The family requests that those attending dress casually in blue jeans in memory of David.
Mr. Van Hoose was born October 6, 1957, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Roy Miller Sr. and Betty Van Hoose Miller.
Survivors include his mother, Betty, of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Monique; sister, Kathy  (Joe);  brother, Roy; uncles: Jake and Bill; uncle and aunt, Jim and Alice (who were like a brother and sister to him); and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He will also be missed by his dog “Addie”, whom he loved dearly and was his faithful companion.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: William and Ellen (Jones) Van Hoose; step-father: Roy Miller Sr. and his uncle, Harold.
Mr. Van Hoose was “a jack of all trades.”  He most recently had worked as an over the road truck driver. In the past he had worked on the Delta Queen Riverboat and as a pipe maker in a factory and even with a traveling carnival. David enjoyed playing pool and training his dog “Addie” to do new tricks. He was a Baptist by faith.
Memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Missouri Humane Society in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
