A 17-year-old Elsberry teen was killed Monday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Lincoln County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 6:25 a.m. on Missouri 79, 0.8 of a mile south of Missouri 47.
Killed was Jillian A. Young of Elsberry, who was a passenger in a 2008 Hyundai Sonata driven by 62-year-old William S. Young of Lake St. Louis.
According to the accident report, a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by 27-year-old Kenny B. Mitchell of Foley and a 2004 Ford Ranger operated by 25-year-old Joshua G. Magruder of Winfield were stopped in traffic. The Sonata struck the rear of the Camry which hit the rear of the Ranger. The Ranger spun and hit a parked pickup.
Jillian A. Young, who was wearing a safety device, was pronounced dead by coroner Lisa Sitler.
