Rebecca Kirk didn't even make an appearance at the Pike County Courthouse in Bowling Green for her scheduled preliminary hearing.
She waived the hearing and since she did that, Judge David Hamilton Ash said she didn't have to appear in court. According to assistant clerks in the Pike County Circuit Clerk's office, Ash gave the okay as long as Kirk's attorney, John Morthland, brought in the signed court document stating she intends to waive.
Kirk's case now moves to Pike County Circuit Court where she'll be formally arraigned in front of Judge Chris Kunza-Mennemeyer.
Ash scheduled the circuit court arraignment for 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 26. It's possible a trial for Kirk could also be set that day as well.
